What is Daemon Informatica?Daemon Informatica is a domain online that I mainly use as a storage and demo location for services and scripts I write.I also host some files on here that I might need whenever I'm online. In the near future I might even link some of the projects I'm working on. Most of them though aren't meant to go public. Yet.. :) What does Daemon Informatica stand for?Nothing too scary, don't worry. Typically, in the realm of computers, a Daemon is a small, autonome program working in the background doing all different kinds of stuff.. There's daemons as webservers, mail servers, and so on, but also for far more invisible tasks. Like monitoring states in a factory plant for example. Daemons fascinate me. A well written one is small, simple and able to execute its task and that task only, without failure. A single Daemon isn't very impressive. It's when they work together, it becomes interesting. Not unlike a colony of ants, they can move a mountain, if implemented corectly. They're one of the most powerfull tools online.I seek to harness that power. |
